L&T Technology Services Limited (LTTS) has entered into an agreement with Microsoft Corp. to offer LTTS’s Energy & Sustainability Manager solution on Microsoft Azure to digitally transform and build the sustainable factories of the future.
The latest agreement is part of LTTS’s expanded collaboration with Microsoft to enable enterprises around the world to leverage its state-of-the-art manufacturing solutions suite hosted on Azure enterprise cloud-first, mobile-first infrastructure.
“LTTS’ Energy & Sustainability Manager is a comprehensive compliance and standards-driven solution that tracks energy losses across plants – the goal is to permanently reduce wastage across the business and provide visibility into utilities and plant equipment. On Azure Deployed, the solution will be jointly taken as an IP-Cosell solution in various industries to end customers,” LTTS said in a statement.
In a smart factory setup, it has become imperative to track and audit all types of energy consumption while achieving sustainability goals. It has become imperative for companies to conserve energy in water, wind, natural gas, electricity and steam to improve energy maps, comply with statutory regulations, save energy costs and achieve net-zero carbon emissions.
“Energy savings and sustainability have become key goals of all major digital transformation exercises. In such circumstances, it is paramount that construction companies achieve environmental compliance and standards, while ensuring that environmental targets are adhered to across the organization,” said Abhishek Sinha, chief operating officer, LTTS.
