macbook: Easy to repair new Apple MacBook Pro laptop: iFixit teardown – Times of India

like every new Apple Product, repair-focused website iFixit has finally released the latest 16-inch . have removed my teardown video for Macbook Pro.
The video gives us a first look at the internal components along with changes in the interior design to give us better repair capability than before macbook Laptop.
iFixit mentions that getting inside the new 16-inch MacBook Pro is simple as the back panel is fastened with a few screws. Along with this, there are many changes in terms of internal design, speaker system, battery, logic board, I/O and more which makes it more repairable than the old one. macbook.
This time, Apple is no longer sticking the batteries in place and instead the company has opted for adhesive pull tabs that make removing batteries easier and simpler than before. But there are still some things that need to be dealt with before taking the batteries out. The first is the new speaker system placed near the battery and second, you need to remove the entire trackpad to pull off the adhesive tabs of the two main batteries.
However, it’s still better than previous chipped batteries, making it nearly impossible to replace.
The new MacBook Pro comes with more ports including a Thunderbolt port, audio jack and MagSafe charger along with an SD card slot and HDMI port. The USB-C port, MagSafe port, and audio jack are modular and can be replaced, but the HDMI and SD card slots are affixed to the logic board along with memory and storage and cannot be replaced.
Modular port is not that easy to replace. iFixit notes that the ports are screwed tightly to the chassis and removing them requires removing the entire logic board which requires removing all cables and screws which can be a difficult task.
When it comes to repairs, Apple products are usually complicated to repair. However, with the new MacBook Pros, it seems that Apple has taken into account some things that eventually need to be replaced or there is a high chance of getting damaged like battery, port etc.
