Madhya Pradesh will observe Tribal Pride Day on November 15 in the memory of Lord Birsa Munda. The event will be dedicated to tribal warriors. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the gathering and also dedicate the country’s first public-private partnership Habibganj railway station at Jamboori Maidan in Bhopal.

The Union Cabinet had also decided that as part of Tribal Pride Day, week-long programs would be organized at the national level from November 15 to 22 to celebrate the contribution of Birsa Munda as well as other tribal freedom fighters. .

The vast site of Jamboree Maidan is expected to attract two lakh tribals from Madhya Pradesh and the entire site is being decorated with tribal art and paintings of tribal legends.

PM Modi will be on the stage for four hours in Bhopal and for 1 hour 15 minutes, for which five domes are being built. Big pandals have also been built for the tribals. More than 300 workers are engaged in this work for a week. The state government is spending more than Rs 23 crore for this program, out of which Rs 13 crore will be spent only for taking people to the program to be held at Jamboree Maidan.

More than Rs 12 crore for transportation, food and accommodation of people coming from 52 districts and more than Rs 9 crore for five domes, tents, decorations and publicity. 47 seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribes in the state. BJP won 29 in 2008; In 2013, this figure increased to 31, but in 2018, BJP got only 16 seats out of 47.

According to the National Crime Records Bureau or NCRB data, Madhya Pradesh has recorded the highest number of 2,401 atrocities against Scheduled Tribes. In 2019, this figure was 1,922, while in 2018 it was 1,868. In a span of two years, the state has shown a 28 percent increase in atrocities against tribal people.

PM Modi will dedicate the country’s first world class railway station at Habibganj. It has been developed under a PPP costing around Rs 450 crore. This station is on the lines of Heidelberg railway station in Germany. The revamp of the station was started in July 2016 and work started in 2017 with a time limit of three years. The modern station will have many features like segregation of passengers on arrival and departure basis, adequate seating arrangement on platforms, lounge, concourse as well as hostel and rest rooms.

The railway station will also provide a glimpse of world heritage sites like Sanchi Stupa, Bhojpur Temple, Bhimbetka, Birla Mandi, Tawa Dam and Tribal Museum. Project Director Mohammad Abu Asif said that this is the first project of Indian Railways to be built on PPP mode. The station will have food zone, kids zone, entertainment zone and retail zone.

Though several BJP leaders, including Bhopal MP Pragya Singh Thakur, have demanded to name the Habibganj railway station after former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, sources said the state government has recommended the name of Gond ruler Rani Kamalapati to the Centre. is of.
