Magenta’s electric mobility, charging and technology vertical EVET has partnered with Allor India, Sprink Kinematic Foodtech, Kadambas Hospitality and Foodweavers to provide EVs for food delivery services. The collaboration is said to be EVET’s first foray into the mid-mile delivery space and boost electric mobility in the delivery business. Bengaluru will be the first city to benefit from the new partnership with services set to expand to other cities in the coming months. EVET currently operates around 400 electric vehicles in its fleet spread across multiple cities including Bengaluru, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
Mid-meal delivery involves the transportation of goods from warehouses or distribution centers to final purchase locations such as shops or restaurants.
“We are delighted to collaborate and enter the food delivery sector using electric vehicles, where food safety and delivery compliance is paramount. Delivery on EVs will reduce the cost of driving a delivery truck by 20 – 40%, enabling our various Partners will benefit. With larger payouts. EVET already operates a 400 vehicle strong EV fleet in multiple cities across India.
Under the new partnership, EVET says it is deploying new electric three-wheelers with larger loading capacity and fast charging capabilities to make the most of it. The company says that its fleet is additionally managed by an in-house developed fleet management system that allows real-time tracking of vehicles as well as provision of dedicated service support.
