Maha Shivratri 2023: Kangana Ranaut extends wishes on the auspicious day

New Delhi [India]Feb 18 (ANI): On the occasion of Maha Shivratri, actor Kangana Ranaut extended warm wishes to everyone.

Kangana took to Instagram and shared a picture from the Shivratri celebrations at Isha Foundation last year with spiritual guru Sadhguru.

In the photo, the actor was seen dressed in a beautiful red and gold saree as she greeted the spiritual teacher with folded hands.

“Best wishes for Mahashivratri. Pic from last year’s celebration at the ashram,” he captioned the post.

Due to work commitments, Kangana could not celebrate Shivratri at the ashram this year. He is currently in Hyderabad for the second schedule of Chandramukhi 2.

He further wrote, “It’s a working Mahashivaratri for me here in Hyderabad, but my heart will remain in the ashram.”

On Maha Shivratri, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are worshiped by devotees across the country.

According to Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva married his divine consort, Maa Shakti, for the second time on this night. It is in celebration of their divine union that this day is celebrated as the ‘Night of Lord Shiva’. While Lord Shiva symbolizes Purusha – which is meditation, Mother Parvati symbolizes Prakriti – which is Prakriti. Creation is fueled by the union of this consciousness and energy.
