This is not the first time such an incident has happened in Maharashtra. On Thursday, a poster of rebel MLA Sada Sarvankar, who was camping in Guwahati with party’s rebel leader Eknath Shinde, was inked with ‘anti-national’ written on it.

The incident is from his own assembly constituency Mahim. Earlier, a group of Shiv Sena women supporters took to the streets of Aurangabad on Wednesday, terming the rebel camp MLAs as “traitors who sell voter’s confidence”.

Meanwhile, the political turmoil in Maharashtra deepened even more as more MLAs joined the Shinde camp, adding to the trouble for CM Uddhav Thackeray. Maharashtra Vice President Narhari Jirwal will tomorrow send notices to 16 rebel MLAs, including minister Eknath Shinde, after the Shiv Sena on Wednesday demanded disqualification of some Shiv Sena MLAs for not attending the legislature party meeting.

According to sources, the rebel MLAs, led by Minister Eknath Shinder, will also be asked to be physically present in the Maharashtra Assembly.
