After the election results, Shiv Sena leader and MVA minister Eknath Shinde is said to have taken 11 party MLAs With him there is likely to be a rebellion within the saffron party against Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Sources in Surat confirmed that over a dozen MLAs from Maharashtra have been kept at Le Meridien Hotel. “The MLAs conducted a late night investigation,” sources said, adding that heavy police force is deployed in the area where the hotel is located.

Rebel MLAs of Shiv Sena reach Assam

A chartered flight carrying Shiv Sena MLAs, who rebelled against the party that brought trouble to the MVA government in Maharashtra, arrived here early on Wednesday.

Sources said the flight from Surat in Gujarat landed at the popular Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati at around 6.30 am.

The exact number of rebel Shiv Sena MLAs who were traveling in the plane was not immediately known, but there were 89 passengers, including the crew, on board, sources said. -PTI

Shinde urged Thackeray to enhance ties with BJP: Shiv Sena leader

Rebel Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde had on Monday urged Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to renew the party’s alliance with the BJP, a senior Shiv Sena leader claimed.
