Maharashtra reports 1,130 Covid-19 cases, 26 deaths Mumbai News – Times of India

Mumbai: Maharashtra There were 1,130 new coronavirus infections and 26 deaths on Saturday, taking its caseload to 66,09,906 and the death toll to 1,40,196, a health department official said.
With 2,148 patients being discharged from hospitals, the number of cured cases in the state rose to 64,49,186.
There are currently 16,905 active cases in Maharashtra.
1,67,064 people are in home quarantine and another 897 are in institutional quarantine.
The recovery rate of corona virus in Maharashtra is 97.57 percent, while the death rate is 2.12 percent.
The total coronavirus tests conducted in the state increased to 6,25,59,171 with 1,19,271 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
Mumbai district reported the highest number of new infections at 307, followed by Ahmednagar on 123.
Among the eight administrative regions of Maharashtra, Mumbai region recorded the highest number of 548 new Covid-19 cases, followed by Pune region with 263 cases.
NS Nashik 177 new cases were reported in this area, Kolhapur 57, Latur 39, Aurangabad 27, Akola five and Nagpur region 14 new cases.
Mumbai region had the highest number of 12 deaths, followed by Pune region with nine deaths, Nashik and Latur two each and Akola one. Kolhapur, Aurangabad and Nagpur regions did not report any fatalities.
Mumbai city saw 307 new Covid-19 cases and three deaths, while Pune city reported 64 new cases but no fresh deaths.
