Maharashtra TET 2021 postponed, exam on October 31

Maharashtra State Council of Examination, Pune has postponed the date of Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MAHA TET) 2021 and now it will be conducted on 31st October. It was earlier scheduled for October 10.

The new date was released by the council on its official website on September 20 in an official notice along with other details about the exam. The admit card for Maharashtra TET 2021 will be released on October 14 on the official website of the council. Maharashtra TET 2021 application process started from 3rd August and ended on 7th September.

Both Paper I and II of Maharashtra TET will be conducted on the same day but in different shifts. Paper I will be conducted on 31 October 2021 from 10:30 AM to 1 PM and Paper II will be conducted on 31 October from 2 PM to 4 PM. Whereas Paper I is for those aspiring to teach classes 1 to 5, and Paper II is for classes 6 to 8.

The eligibility test is for the candidates aspiring to teach jobs in various government schools across Maharashtra. Candidates who clear the exam will be issued Maharashtra TET pass which is a prerequisite to apply for teaching jobs in the schools of the state.

Paper I consists of questions from Mathematics, English Marathi, Campus Study, Environmental Studies, Child Physiology and Pedagogy. In Paper II, the subjects include English, Marathi, Social Science, Mathematics, Child Psychology and Pedagogy.

Both the papers will have 150 multiple choice questions and candidates will be given 90 minutes to solve the entire paper. For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded one mark and there is no negative marking for wrong answers.
