design
The Scorpio Classic is expected to feature a few cosmetic updates over the previous generation Scorpio, including Mahindra’s latest ‘twin-peaks’ SUV logo, which debuted on the XUV700, and is also seen on the Scorpio-N. This means that the Scorpio Classic will be the third offering in Mahindra’s line-up to use the new logo.
In addition, spy shots reveal that the SUV will get a restyled front bumper, new LED DRLs above the fog lamp housing as well as new alloy wheels. At the rear, the Scorpio Classic is expected to get large vertical reflectors above the taillights.
Interior and Features
While the overall cabin layout of the Scorpio Classic will be similar to the previous-gen model, it will come equipped with a larger infotainment system than the previous-gen Scorpio. Apart from this, the SUV will also be offered with new seat upholstery and faux wood dashboard insert. engine specs
The Scorpio Classic is expected to be powered by the same 2.2-litre mHawk four-cylinder diesel engine as before. However, this time around, the engine could be offered with the entry-level diesel variant of the Scorpio-N as well with a tune similar to that of the Thar. This means that the engine can produce around 132 PS of power and 300 Nm of torque, and will likely be available with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard.
expected price
Considering the fact that the new Mahindra Scorpio-N Currently priced from Rs 11.99 lakh, we expect the Scorpio Classic to be available from a starting price of Rs 10 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom) to reduce the former. As per the speculations, Mahindra will offer the Scorpio Classic in two variants i.e. an entry-level model and a full-loaded top-end variant.
