Mahindra recently teased the silhouettes of five upcoming EVs, and has now released a second teaser previewing the infotainment screen. It gives interesting details of the equipment list on the upcoming SUV, whose global unveiling will take place on August 15.
The latest teaser reveals that the upcoming range of Bourne electric vehicles will feature completely new infotainment graphics. It differs from the current AdrenoX system used in the XUV700 and Scorpio N as the layout is much simpler here.
The teaser also previews a set of in-car functions – powered seat adjustment, multi-zone climate control, music preference settings and ambient lighting. A host of other advanced connectivity features can also be expected. Also, a dual-screen set-up for instrumentation and infotainment duties, which was seen in the previous teaser, has also been confirmed.
While Mahindra has given a sneak peek of these upcoming Bourne electric vehicles in the past, the latest teaser shows one of the five SUVs in a bit more detail. The larger SUV will feature a high raked front and rear windscreens and a stubby rear end with short overhangs. The floor-mounted battery pack will likely be compatible with DC fast charging.
Another important point is that the vehicle will also come with a Sport mode in addition to the regular drive mode. Earlier, the carmaker had teased images of C-shaped LED light signature for the headlamps and tail-lamps on these upcoming EVs.
Mahindra is yet to worry about any technical details for the upcoming range of Bourne electric vehicles. It is known that all five models will be SUVs, with four with coupe-SUV body styles. One could also be an electric version of Mahindra’s current flagship XUV700. The long-awaited XUV900 SUV-coupe concept could also be on the cards.
All five models have been developed and designed at Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE) studio in Oxfordshire, UK, headed by Chief Designer Pratap Bose. Designed as electric vehicles from the outset and expected to become a global model, the upcoming range of Bourne electric vehicles will be positioned above any existing Mahindra product.
