1. A bronze statue of Kedambadi Ramaiah Gowda, a peasant leader who rebelled against the British in 1837, two decades before the first freedom struggle of 1857, will reach Mangaluru today at 6 pm. Mangaluru Municipal Corporation will establish it at Bavutgudde in honor of the freedom fighters on the occasion of 75th year of independence.
