Malaika Arora opens up about resuming work after recovering from COVID-19, says ‘Initially I was feeling quite helpless’ – Times of India

Amid the fear of the new variant Omicron, Malaika told Hindustan Times.com that initially, she felt helpless to find out that her body was unable to function like how it used to be before COVID-10. Recalling her first workout session after COVID, she described it as physically devastating, however, she kept pushing herself regardless of everything.

“With a lot of determination, patience and hope, I finally made myself feel about 32 weeks after testing negative,” she said. Urging people facing similar problems to stay there after recovery, she said, “I can understand the overwhelming feeling of going back to normal life due to the virus scare. I was fortunate to be able to overcome it without any complications and minimal pain” and thanked my friends, family and doctors for their support.

Malaika also said that she preferred to go out for short runs to see how her body would react as she gradually incorporated yoga and other exercises which helped her recover faster.
