Man arrested for cheating in job

City Cyber ​​Crime Police has arrested a 35-year-old man for duping a woman of lakhs of rupees in a case related to online job fraud. The accused has been identified as Mohammed Sozin, a resident of Perinthalmanna in Malappuram district. According to the police, he had offered the woman a job and had registered her on the website of the fake company. He is alleged to have collected around Rs 4 lakh from him, claiming that the money was needed for the purchase of various products required for the job.

The woman lodged a complaint with the police for not being given the job. The money was transferred to registered accounts in Maharashtra and Gujarat, of which a part of the money was later transferred to Sojin’s account. In a preliminary investigation conducted by the police, an amount of around ₹4 crore was transferred from his account during the same period, indicating the possibility of involvement of other victims as well as others in the crime.
