A woman had a poor follow-up until a recent date when the man in question billed her for a cup of coffee that he had bought her during that date because he could not find time to meet her again.

When you go on a first date with someone you just met on a dating site, there’s always a side of uncertainty. If you have the right chemistry they can either be devastating or leave you with a tingling feeling of happiness. However, in some cases, even if the date turns out well, follow up may not be necessary. A woman had a poor follow-up until a recent date when the man in question billed her for a cup of coffee that he had bought her during that date because he could not find time to meet her again.

Caitlin Phipps had matched the man on the dating app Hinge and met him on a date that was going quite well, with the two eager to catch up again soon. However, when she woke up one morning, the man demanded $4 for her coffee. Caitlin, who shared screenshots of the conversation in a video from her TikTok account, then asked him why he needed the money.

The person replied, “I think the second attempt for breakfast has been canceled so far, so it’s for coffee last week because it looks like we’ll never go out again. Don’t really understand What game are you trying to play,” according to a report in Laddbible. She then posted another screenshot of a message she had written, in which she expressed her desire to see her again, but was unable to set a date due to her work and studies. She also sarcastically apologized for hurting the man’s ego by her absence and made it clear that she would not be able to meet him as his lack of understanding and communication were obvious red flags and she would not take it any further.

The man, in his reply, accused Caitlin of leading him by asking her to go on a second date several times. However, Caitlin refused to do so.

The TikTok video has garnered 300,000 views and people are supporting Caitlin for her unpleasant experience. Someone even commented that she would pay the guy $8 and ask him to buy it way with the extra.
