Coimbatore: A special court in bomb blast cases on Thursday sentenced a 37-year-old man to life imprisonment for the murder of his wife.
accused, pandiarajanof Jayamangalam near Periyakulam, murdered his wife Kalamani37, after a heated argument at his residence on VOC Street Thondamuthur on July 8, 2021.
Kalamani married Pandiarajan six years back after her first husband thiruman Died due to illness.
While Pandiarajan was working as a cook, Kalamani was a construction worker. Both were habitual alcoholics.
Unfortunately, the couple consumed alcohol around 9 pm. A heated argument broke out between them after Kalamani abused Pandiarajan and his family members. Pandiarajan got angry and strangled Kalamani to death and fled the house.
The next day neighbors reported the murder to Thondamuthur police, who registered a case and arrested Pandiarajan.
Special public prosecutor appeared before a special court judge on behalf of the victim in K Karthikeyan case de sand, The court sentenced Pandiarajan to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of ₹2,500.
