The second part of Mani Ratnam’s ambitious Ponniyin Selvan The franchise will release on April 28, 2023.
The announcement was made earlier today by production houses Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions on social media with the caption “Choles are back”.
Ponniyin Selvan: 1which released in September 2022, was a huge success nationwide, and became one of Mani Ratnam’s highest-grossing films, With a star cast that included actors like Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Prakash Raj, and Aishwarya Lekshmi, PS: 1 Marked the beginning of the succession war for the Chola Empire.
The technical crew included AR Rahman for Music, Sreekar Prasad for Editing, Ravi Varman for Cinematography, Thotta Tharani for Production Design, Jaymohan for Dialogues, Eka Lakhani for Costumes, Vikram Gaikwad for Make-up, Choreography There are many A-listers like Master Brinda. And so on.
PS: 2Which will further narrate the epic saga, is also based on the 1955 novel by Kalki Krishnamurthy, and will be one of the most anticipated releases of 2023.
