Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday claimed that his deputy Manish Sisodia would be arrested in the next two to three days. Kejriwal’s remarks came days after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided Sisodia’s residence.
“We were hearing that they will arrest Manish Sisodia within the next 10 days. But now I think they will arrest him in the next 2-3 days,” Kejriwal said while addressing Manish Sisodia in Bhavnagar, Gujarat.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenors Kejriwal and Sisodia are currently on a two-day visit to Gujarat, where assembly elections are due later this year.
Interacting with youth in Bhavnagar city on the issues of education and employment, Sisodia said, “In Delhi, we have given two lakh government and 10 lakh private jobs. The noose on me. I want to say that I am an honest person. And I am not afraid of CBI.”
‘BJP is going to remove its Gujarat unit president’
Kejriwal also claimed that the BJP will soon sack its Gujarat unit president CR Patil as it is “deeply scared” of the Aam Aadmi Party’s presence in the poll-bound state.
In a tweet in Hindi, Kejriwal said, “BJP in Gujarat is badly scared of the Aam Aadmi Party. According to sources, Gujarat BJP state president CR Patil is being removed soon.”

Kejriwal on Monday sought to project the contest between the BJP and the AAP in the upcoming Gujarat Assembly polls as a “crusade” like the Mahabharata, where the ruling outfits “armies” of the CBI and the ED’s investigating agencies are in their favor. doing. On Friday, the CBI raided Sisodia’s house and 30 other places in the country on allegations of corruption in the implementation of the Delhi Excise Policy.
