Manoj Bajpayee’s father RK Bajpayee passes away at the age of 83; Condolences on social media
In a shocking development, Padma Shri winner Manoj Bajpayee’s father RK Bajpayee passed away this morning at the age of 83. Manoj’s father’s condition was very critical for the last few days. After hearing the news of his father’s demise, the Bollywood actor has left for Delhi from Kerala, where he was shooting for his next project. His last rites will be performed at 1:30 pm at Nigam Bodh Ghat, New Delhi.
Director Avinash Das paid his last tribute on Twitter. He tweeted, “Manoj Bhaiya’s father is no more. Reminiscing the moments spent with him. I took this picture at Bhitiharwa Ashram. He was very patient. He always distanced himself from his son’s success. He was a great man.”
A few days back, Bajpayee’s father was admitted to a hospital in the national capital. At that time, the ‘Satya’ actor, who was shooting for the same project, immediately left for Delhi to be with his family during such difficult times.
In a recent interview with ANI, Manoj had told how his father inspired him to complete his studies before pursuing his passion for acting.
“I came to Delhi from my village in Bihar at the age of 18. I joined Delhi University. It was my father’s dream to complete my graduation. He didn’t want me to drop out.. so I really wanted to be with him. Wanted to fulfill the dream and somehow managed. To complete the course and get a degree,” he had shared.
On the work front, the actor recently won an award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2021 for his role in the web series ‘The Family Man 2’. Streaming ‘The Family Man 2’ on Amazon Prime Video won two awards. Award at Film Festival – Second prize for Samantha Akkineni.
The cast of the series also includes Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, Sunny Hinduja, Shreya Dhanwantri, Sharad Kelkar, Seema Biswas and child actors Ashlesha Thakur and Vedant Sinha.
