Market opened in green, Sensex up 198 points; Nifty at 16,338 | business – Times of India Videos

After a sharp rise on Friday, the stock market also opened in the green today. The BSE Sensex rose 198.06 points or 0.36 per cent to 54,524.45 in the opening session, while the NSE Nifty rose 72.80 points or 0.45% per cent to 16,338.95. Gains on the Sensex pack included Maruti, Mahindra & Mahindra, Asian Paint, Nestle India, Titan, NTPC, Kotak Bank, Dr Reddy’s, Bajaj Finserv, LT, ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank and Infosys. In contrast, the top drags were State Bank of India, Reliance, TCS, Axis Bank, HCL Tech, Bharti Airtel, HCL Tech and Tech Mahindra.
