Kerala born young singer Mathangi Ajithkumar is trying to make a mark in playback singing. His passion for music is reflected in the film songs sung in Malayalam and Tamil as well as the albums and live shows he has recorded.
She was a part of the television shows ‘MGR 100’ and ‘MSV MSV’ aired on DD-Podhigai and has been singing for Swaraalaya Palakkad, a stage for performing artists, for almost six years.
Along with well-known singers such as KJ Yesudas, P. Jayachandran, Unni Menon and Biju Narayanan, Matangi has also collaborated with singers and composers Shareth and M. Jayachandran. Among his favorite songs he recorded for the Tamil films Ennai Vendravalle (with Vijay Yesudas) and Circle (starring Mammootty).
Working with music directors Ronnie Raphael, Anil Balamurali, Balamurali, Vayalar Sarath Chandravarma and Sanjay Choudhary has been a wonderful learning experience and they hope it opens up new avenues in their musical journey.
