Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi toured several areas of Serilingampally on Tuesday along with legislator A. Gandhi and took stock of the sanitation and civic issues.
She inspected areas in Miyapur, Chandangar, and Serilingmapally wards, covering Makta Peda Kudi Cheruvu, Patel Cheruvu, Miyapur police station line, Bhavanipuram nala, Lingampally RUB, vegetable market, Gopi Cheruvu and other areas.
She expressed anger at the officials and solid waste concessionaire agency over non-removal of waste and debris near Makta Pedda Kudi Cheruvu, and issued instructions for clearance of the same. She issued directions to the zonal commissioner and engineering officials to take up road repairs to the link road immediately.
Local corporator and residents of Vishweshara Colony in Chandangar brought to her notice the pathetic condition of roads and sewerage in the area upon which Ms. Vijayalakshmi asked the officials to take up road and drain works.
She directed the officials to take up repair of sheds in Lingampally vegetable market, and ensure better sanitation.
Zonal Commissioner Upender Reddy, Additional Commissioners Shiva Kumar Naidu, Raghu Prasad and Pankaja accompanied the Mayor.
