Meenakshi Amman Temple: Only people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will be allowed

The Meenakshi Amman temple administration on Saturday said only fully COVID-19 vaccinated persons will be allowed to enter the temple in Madurai, Tamil Nadu from December 13.

This comes after the Madurai administration banned the entry of non-vaccinated people into public places.

District Collector Dr S Anish Shekhar has informed that people who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 will not be allowed entry in public places in Madurai district from December 13.

The order issued by the district collector said, “Those who have not been vaccinated in Madurai, they will be allowed access to fair price shops, commercial establishments, supermarkets, theatres, wedding halls, shopping malls, apparel shops, banks and liquor shops.” will be barred from entering public places including Reading.

The notice further states that the district administration is taking measures to send those who have not been vaccinated.

Earlier, the administration had given people a week to get at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The district collector said, “People have been given a week to receive at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, failing which people are not allowed to enter public places like hotels, shopping malls and other commercial establishments.” Not allowed.” ,

Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Tamil Nadu has given 7,46,84,956 doses of COVID-19 vaccine so far.
