Water bottles are an essential item that most of us rely on on a daily basis, be it a simple plastic or glass bottle or a fancy bottle that we use occasionally. While these are often sold at affordable prices, have you ever considered the cost of the world’s most expensive water bottle? Meet the Acqua di Cristallo Tributo a Modigliani, which costs around Rs 50 lakh. Although the Acqua di Cristallo Tributo a Modigliani was recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s most expensive water bottle in 2010, it has hit the headlines again as people are captivated by its unique design and price . It can hold up to 750 ml of water. But why is this bottle so expensive?
According to reports, the packaging of the bottle is made of solid 24K gold and the water inside has 5 grams of 24K gold added to it, which helps add alkalinity to the water. The water in this bottle comes from three different points on Earth – Fiji, France, and even the cold glaciers of Iceland.

An interesting fact about the Acqua di Cristallo is that it is more like a sculpture than a typical water bottle designed by Fernando Altamirano. He also designed the world’s most expensive water bottle, which is filled with Henri IV Dudognon Heritage Cognac. A bottle of Acqua di Cristallo reportedly sold at auction on March 4, 2010 for over US$60,000.
