Kochi FOSS, a mini conference to revive the FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) community in Kochi was organized at Government Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara on Saturday.

A total of 250 participants, including students, professionals and volunteers, participated in the event, where young professionals working in the FOSS community had the opportunity to submit their projects through the Call for Proposal installed on the FOSS Joint website.

The conference provided an opportunity to the participants to interact with industry experts from six organizations. There was also a reward program, where participants were encouraged to contribute to the Open Street Map. Zerodha CTO Kailash Nadh talks on ‘Growing with hobby projects’.
