Met office warns of fresh heat in northwest, central India

Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, Director General of Meteorology in the India Meteorological Department (IMD), said on Thursday that a fresh round of heatwave is likely to start over parts of northwest India and central India.

“Due to the presence of a Western Disturbance over Northwest India, there has been a decrease in heat wave conditions in the last 2-3 days while the day temperature has declined and this condition is likely to continue for the next two days. However, a fresh heatwave The spell is likely to start over Rajasthan. Particularly isolated heatwave conditions are expected to start over Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha. For Rajasthan, it is today and tomorrow (May 5 and May 6) and on May 7 ( It will be hot). Will spread to some other parts of North West India and Central India,” Mohapatra said.

Heat wave warning will be issued for different places of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha region soon. “Summer conditions are very likely to spread to some more parts of northwest and central India after May 7,” he said.

Keeping in view the weather pattern in South India, IMD Andhra Pradesh has issued several weather guidelines for the next five days.

According to the IMD, thunderstorms with lightning are very likely to occur over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh (NCAP) and Yanam in Andhra Pradesh, while lightning and gusty winds are likely over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh (SCAP) and Rayalaseema in Andhra Pradesh. It may rain with Today (Thursday) with a speed of 40-50 kmph.

The IMD predicted that thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty wind with a speed of 30-40 kmph may occur at places at NCAP and Yanam, SCAP and Rayalaseema on Friday.

Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds gusting to 30-40 kmph may occur at one or two places in Rayalaseema on Saturday.

Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning is very likely to occur over NCAP and Yanam, SCAP and Rayalaseema on Sunday and Monday.

He further said, “Also, a Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over Andaman Sea. Under its influence, a Low Pressure Area is likely to form over South Andaman Sea and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal on May 6. He further said, “We have specifically issued a warning to the fishermen not to venture into the Andaman Sea and adjoining areas of southeast and east-central Bay of Bengal, as the cyclone in the region is adjusting to isolation and expected depression.” It is,” he added. ,

At present, no warning regarding this expected depression has been issued by the IMD for mainland, but a thunderstorm warning has been issued for eastern states, northeastern states and parts of southern peninsula.
