MG India extends its digital game MGverse with its own Metaverse platform

MG Motor India is the first auto OEM in the country to launch the Multiverse platform.

MG Motor India has announced the launch of its Metaverse platform – MGverse. It is the first automobile manufacturer in India to do so, and MG says it aims to provide its customers and stakeholders with an immersive experience across multiple sectors. Under this metaverse platform, MG Motor India will offer users various digital experiences and services such as vehicle configuration, NFTs (Non-Fungible Token), a digital car club and much more. With this, the company aims to bring MG fans, customers, partners and employees together to work, play, engage, collaborate, co-create, socialize and shop under one platform.

Talking about MGverse, Gaurav Gupta, Chief Commercial Officer, MG Motor Indiasaid, “Digital technologies have advanced faster than any other innovation in human history. MGverse is a step forward where users can interact with visualized data just like in the real world. At MG, we provide our customers with We strive to provide immersive experiences at every touchpoint. With MGverse, the company aims to bring MG fans, customers, partners and employees together under one platform to work, play, engage, collaborate, co-create, socialize and shop.

Like all Multiverse, here too a user can create their own digital avatar and explore the MGverse, which offers five different experience centers – Explore & Creators Center, NFT Gallery, MG Car Club, Gaming Arena and MG Knowledge Center. The Creator Center will allow users to personalize, access and build their favorite MG vehicle in the metaverse. Users can also take virtual test drives and even allow customers to book their MG cars online. It will also have MG Expert Virtual Guide.

The NFT gallery will showcase MG’s finest collections and users will be able to collaborate and co-create, catalog and transact NFTs on the platform. Additionally, it will also allow individuals and creators to create and earn their own NFTs. As far as MG Car Club (MGCC) is concerned, here members will get yet another opportunity to connect, engage and celebrate through members only events and concerts. They will also have the option to buy MG merchandise from MGverse.

Next up is the Gaming Arena where users will get a chance to experience the racing history of MG. They can also choose their favorite racetrack to run or play other sports in a sportier MG. Lastly, we have the MG Knowledge Center, which will provide opportunities for upskilling and participating in virtual training sessions, conferences, meetings and more for MG employees and partners.

Talking about the various segments, Gupta said, “This initiative will help us further strengthen our relationship with GenZ and Gen Alpha. With MGverse, we aim to introduce the future generation to innovative brand experiences. We will create our own virtual customer experience content.”

The platform will be available on mobile as well as other web browsers. Furthermore, MG intends to provide similar experiences for VR (Virtual Reality) headsets as well, thereby providing a more immersive and realistic experience at home and at dealerships. The platform will be executed in phases with the first phase being implemented during the coming festive season.
