ACMA to conduct a study on MG ZS EV to promote skill development in EV component industry

MG Motor India has joined hands with Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) to promote skill development in the EV component industry. As a part of the alliance, the industry body will conduct a study on MG ZS EV all-electric SUV to educate and promote skill development in the EV components industry. It will work closely with IIT Sonepat to take forward its research on the deployment of electric vehicles in urban India.

Commenting on the announcement, MG Motor India (Chairman & MD) Rajeev Chaba said, “MG Motor and ACMA will collaboratively add value to the EV component industry by providing education and skill development to create a future-ready workforce. The alliance is This is aligned with MG’s vision of CASE mobility, learning and skill development and overall commitment to strengthen the EV ecosystem.”

This alliance is in line with MG’s vision to support and develop the ecosystem for electric vehicles.

ACMA President Sanjay J Kapur said, “We are grateful to MG Motor for providing us this opportunity. The need of the hour is to build a future-ready workforce to build electric vehicles and this collaboration will enable auto component manufacturers to upskill themselves. and remaining relevant.”

The alliance is in line with the Chinese-owned British carmaker’s vision to support and grow the ecosystem for EVs. Earlier, the brand had tied up with IIT Delhi – Center for Automotive Research and Tribology (CART) for similar research.
