MG Motor India in association with Vadodara Marathon has presented an exclusive MG Hector to Tokyo Paralympics 2020 silver medalist Bhavna Patel. The SUV is customized to suit the driving needs of the disabled person.

Earlier in August 2021, MG Motor India has announced that it will present a customized vehicle along with a car to Paralympic medalist Bhavna Patel for winning a silver medal in table tennis at the recent Tokyo Paralympics. Fulfilling its promise, the company today handed over an exclusive MG Hector SUV to Patel which has been customized to suit the driving needs of the disabled person. The project was executed in collaboration with Vadodara Marathon, and the customized Hector was handed over to Bhavina Patel by Jayant Deb, Chief Technical Officer, MG Motor India.

Olympic silver medalist, Bhavna Patel said, “I really appreciate this thoughtful gesture from MG Motor and Vadodara Marathon. I am very happy to call this fully customized Hector my own. It is an innovation in our country. It is a fantastic vehicle at the forefront of the mobility ecosystem, and I look forward to experiencing its power from the driver’s seat. Along with mobility, this luxurious car also brings to me a sense of freedom and empowerment.”
MG Motor India says that the vehicle has been specifically designed to provide the Emotion a safe and enjoyable driving experience. Thus, it comes with a carefully engineered wheelchair attachment along with features like hand-controlled levers to operate the accelerator and brakes. It comes with a DCT automatic transmission and feature a start/stop button, which means that it is powered by a 141 bhp, 1.5-litre petrol engine.

MG Hector comes with features like hand-controlled levers to operate the accelerator and brakes along with a carefully designed wheelchair attachment.
