Surface Laptop 5 price, availability
The Surface Laptop 5 will be available in display sizes of 13.5-inch and 15-inch. Customers can configure the laptop as per their requirement. The price of the 13.5-inch display variant starts at $999 (approximately Rs 82,000) and the 15-inch display option costs $1,299 (approximately Rs 107,000).
The Surface Laptop 5 can be pre-ordered now and customers can buy the laptop from October 25 in select countries in Platinum, Matte Black, Sandstone and new Sage color options.

Surface Laptop 5 Specifications
Both the 13.5-inch and 15-inch models get aluminum casings. While the Platinum color option comes with the Alcantara material palm rest, the others get a metal palm rest. In the case of the 15-inch model, all the color variants get metal palm rests.
The 13.5-inch variant has a PixelSense display with 2256×1504 pixel resolution, 201ppi pixel density and 3:2 aspect ratio. The display gets Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the variant with Dolby Vision IQ support, 10-point multi-touch support and Alcantara keyboard finish. The protection of Gorilla Glass 5 is available in the metal finish options.
The 15-inch model gets a PixelSense display with a resolution of 2496×1664 pixels. Rest of the features remain the same as the 13.5-inch model, except that all the variants get Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Under the hood, the Surface Laptop 5 (13.5-inch) will have two processor options: a 12th-generation Intel Core i5-1235U and a 12th-generation Intel Core i7-1255U. Surface Laptop 5 (15-inch) will be powered by 12th generation Intel Core i7-1255U processor. The chipset is built on the Intel Evo platform. The laptop can be configured with any of 8GB/16GB/32GB LPDDR5x RAM with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB SSD options.
The 13.5-inch Surface Laptop 5 is claimed to offer up to 18 hours of battery life and the 15-inch model is claimed to last up to 17 hours. Other features of the recently launched Surface Laptop 5 include firmware TPM 2.0 security processor, Windows Hello face sign-in, HD (720p) camera, Omnisonic speakers with Dolby Atmos 4 and dual far-field studio microphones. Connectivity options on the Surface Laptop 5 include USB-C (with USB 4.0/Thunderbolt 4), USB-A 3.1, 3.5mm headphone jack, Surface Connect Port, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.
