AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal, Satyendar Jain and Kailash Gehlot and jailed criminal Sukesh Chandrashekhar are “char yaars” (four friends) involved in corruption, the BJP on Saturday hit back at the Aam Aadmi Party alleging Chandrashekhar getting help. Chandrashekhar, in a letter to Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on October 9, alleged that Jain had extorted Rs 10 crore from him for “protection money” or to ensure his safety during his stay in jail in 2019. He also alleged that over Rs 50 crore was given to the ruling AAP on the promise of giving him a key post in the party in the South Zone and helping him get nominated for the Rajya Sabha.
The BJP raised three questions: “Did you get Rs 10 crore as security money from Sukesh? Did you get 50 crores for one Rajya Sabha seat? Did you go to Sukesh’s party?”
Poonawalla said that while people have ration or PAN card, AAP has a victim card. “We all have ration card, PAN card, Aadhar card but you have victim card,” he said.
BJP’s IT cell chief Amit Malviya posted pictures of a letter from Chandrashekhar in a tweet in which he accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of “threatening him through jail authorities”, giving him a Rajya Sabha seat and Satyendar Jain. Detail of a dinner party. Hyatt Hotel.

BJP fighting elections with the support of Sukesh Chandrashekhar: AAP
AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj had earlier in the day alleged that the BJP was fighting the Delhi Municipal Corporation and Gujarat Assembly elections “with the support of jailed criminal Sukesh Chandrashekhar”. Bhardwaj said that Chandrashekhar had become a “star campaigner of the BJP” and it was up to him for profit. “The Gujarat (assembly) and Delhi (civil body) elections are pushing the BJP into a zone of extreme fear and they are relying on thugs like Sukesh Chandrashekhar for profit. He alleged that Chandrashekhar has become a star campaigner of the BJP and the party is fighting this election with the support of a thug.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Kejriwal rubbished Chandrashekhar’s allegations, saying it was an attempt to divert people’s attention from the collapse of a bridge in Gujarat’s Morbi.
In May, the Enforcement Directorate had arrested Jain in a money laundering case. After his arrest, other departments including health, home, electricity and urban development were handed over to Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
