Ludhiana: The Ludhiana Tippers Association held a peaceful protest outside the Police Commissioner’s office on Monday in protest against the First Information Report.FIR) against whom a case was registered at the Ladhowal police station and the police were given two days to quash it.

The place where the team of Joint Commissioner of Police (City) Narinder Bhargava raided is a designated dumping site. To prove this, we had provided the mining approval slip to the commissioner a day before the raid. Moreover, when the police raided the spot, the mining process had not even started. ,
Ravinder Singh further claimed that the tipper trucks were parked away from the dumping site, but the police FIR showed them at the dumping site and that too under the jurisdiction of the Jalandhar police. He added that: “The commissioner has sought two days’ time to study the matter. If Ludhiana Police fails to quash the FIR in two days, we will take our matter to Minister Harjot Singh Bains.
