Minister Parvesh Verma pulled the ‘thick-cham’ officials of Delhi, says that the system was ‘destroyed’ for more than 10 years.

New Delhi: Delhi’s Public Works Department Minister Parvesh Verma said that government officials in Delhi have become thick in the last 10 years and the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government will now run them and burn their fat. It came a day later Assembly Speaker Vijendra Gupta wrote to Chief Secretary Dharmendra, Complaint that the officials were not even accepting the calls and letters of the MLA.

On Friday, Verma directed the suspension of a PWD executive engineer on poor disillusion of a drain in Akshardham region in the national capital. The minister was inspecting the condition of roads and drains in some parts of Delhi. ,Sabco Daud Rahe Hai, Mai Bhih Daud Raha Hun Hun. Humko bhi passenna will come and Anko (We are running them, I am also running. We will also sweat and therefore they will do), “They told the media persons.” When they start sweating, fat will burn immediately. They have to work. ,

The minister said that he is personally inspecting in the capital, and strict action will be taken against the authorities if any laxity is found.

“When these officers did not have a job, they were running after this. Once they got a job, they did not want to work. You get salary from people’s money (public funds), so you have to do people’s work. People’s work is paramount for us. Delhi is not an ordinary state. It is not an ordinary state.

He further said that the Delhi government has resolved to leave no stone unturned and the officials to work. “Delhi’s system was destroyed and was on the verge of collapse,” Verma commented.

He said that Delhi ministers are out on the streets working as soon as possible. “The authorities have been given very strict instructions that no one will be dull, and the system that has been created will have to be replaced.”

In a letter to the Chief Secretary of Delhi, Speaker Gupta wrote that the issue of officials who ignored the calls and messages of the elected MLAs were a ‘serious matter’, and asked for a compliance report.

Reacting to Verma’s comments, AAP leader Atisi said, “These officials have done a lot of great work despite so many obstacles. He has built world class schools and hospitals. But now what has happened that the officers are not working? Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma has been using the foul language since morning. He has been nonsense about the officials.”
