Aizawl: Mizoram The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said the country’s fifth-highest Covid-19 daily infections and sixth-highest number of active cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
The state recorded 513 new cases, the highest among the eight northeastern states, and contributed 54.59% of fresh infections in the region in the last 24 hours as of Saturday morning.
The daily test positivity rate in the last 24 hours was also the highest in the region at 9.20%.
Mizoram’s recovery rate declined from 95.03% on Friday evening to 94.95% on Saturday evening.
Out of the total 1,24,539 infected people, 1,18,254 have been cured, while active cases have also gone up to 5,839 as against 5,725 on Friday, which is 4.61% of the total infections.
The total toll of the total infected stood at 446, which was 0.36% of the total infected.
