Activision Blizzard And Infinity Ward ‘Reveals The Launch Date’Modern Warfare 2‘, the next mainline entry in call of duty Voting. The first-person shooter will launch on October 28, 2022. While the date is out, the platform is yet to be revealed, but we expect the AAA title to hit all the major ones.
The naming is a bit confusing, especially for players who haven’t been following the annual Call of Duty launch. This year’s Modern Warfare 2 is not related to 2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Instead, the soon-to-be-launched Modern Warfare 2 (2022) is a direct sequel to 2019’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare which was a reboot. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007).
Activision revealed the launch date at the end of a new teaser video. In addition to the launch date, the trailer indicated that Call of Duty characters such as Simon “Ghost” Riley, Kyle “Gaz” Garrick, and John “Soap” McTavish, and more would be featured in the game. The first-person shooter will feature Mexican Special Forces Colonel Alejandro Vargas as one of the lead characters.

As for the story, the developers have not given any details, but if we are to believe a report by VGC, the major story will revolve around the American special forces following the Colombian cartel runners. Another report, this time by Eurogamer, claims that the game will come with a new ‘DMZ’ mode that draws inspiration from the extraction-style elements seen in Escape From Tarkov.
