New Delhi [India]September 9 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said that the Modi government is working on a mission to make the country more strong by the hundredth year of independence.

Shah said this at an event where he flagged off ‘The Freedom Rider Biker Rallies’ in partnership with Fit India at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in the national capital on Friday morning.

“The celebration of Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi has reached every nook and corner of India and this bike rally will help spread the message of unity in diversity of this great country and encourage many youths to join this effort in every city by them. Will inspire. Shah said in the program.

“I am happy to know that The Freedom Moto Ride bike rallies will further take forward the call of Fit India, a movement launched by the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. We took this vision forward through Amrit Kaal And we are committed to make India strong in the coming years, from now till the 100th year of our country’s independence.

Shah also extended his best wishes to the bike riders who set out on a 75-day journey across India. He said that the bike rally is a symbol of unity in diversity of the country.

A total of 120 enthusiastic and certified bikers from across the country, including 10 women, have embarked on an amazing journey of more than 18000 kms across India. They will reach over 150 villages in the country and will cross six international borders.

“It is going to tie the entire country together,” he said. There is no doubt about the lessons you will take from these days of travel and once you return, you will inspire the younger generation with your education,” Shah said.

The Freedom Rider rallies will cover 75 iconic locations in India across 34 states and union territories for 75 days. It is in keeping with the theme of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to commemorate 75 years of India’s independence. The Fit India Freedom Moto Ride, to be held till November 24, will also reach 75 iconic locations in India.

Commenting on how Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav has brought India together, Mr Nisith Pramanik said, “Whether it is the Har Ghar Tricolor Campaign, which was celebrated during Independence Day this year or the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi throughout The year was coming, all Indians are united as before.

“It could never have been possible with the roadmap given by Modi. Bike rallies will also see many riders coming together from across India to set a new record. This is another testament to the unity in diversity of our country,” the minister said.

Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Nisith Pramanik, Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture, Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, former Union Health and Welfare Minister Harsh Vardhan Goel, Lok Sabha MP Ramesh Bidhuri, Secretary Sports Smt. Sujata Chaturvedi, Director General of SAI, Sandeep Pradhan and others were also present at the inauguration and flag hoisting ceremony. (ANI)
