Heavy rains are disrupting normal life in the coastal areas of Karnataka and Malnad region, causing loss of life and property in the affected areas. Rivers are in spate due to rain, agricultural areas and low-lying areas have been flooded, landslides have also been reported in hilly areas of Kodagu and Dakshina Kannada districts.
