Opposition’s strategy, all-party meeting called on Sunday
The opposition will meet on Sunday to discuss the strategy for the upcoming monsoon session. This time the opposition parties will also have Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).
After backing opposition presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha, TRS, which was considered close to the ruling party at the Centre, is likely to join the opposition parties. The reason for the distance of TRS from the Center is the BJP’s move to make inroads in Telangana.
The opposition will also discuss the joint strategy as well as the vice-president candidate. TRS has been invited.
The central government has called an all-party meeting on Sunday to demand smooth conduct of the monsoon session, while the presiding officers of both the houses will also meet leaders of various parties. According to sources, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi has called a traditional meeting of all parties to discuss the agenda and seek their support for the smooth conduct of the session. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will be present. Prime Minister Narendra Modi can attend the meeting.
