Voters show their inked finger after casting their vote for the Munugode assembly by-election on Thursday.

Over 93 per cent of the total 2,41,805 voters exercised their franchise in the by-elections held in Telangana’s Munugode assembly constituency on Thursday.
According to the communication sent from the Chief Electoral Officer till late night, the total turnout except for 686 postal ballots stood at 93.13 per cent.
Voting went off peacefully except for minor skirmishes outside polling stations.
Official sources said the polling percentage till 5 pm was 77.55.
He said that even after polling ended at 6 pm, voters queued up at many booths but they were allowed to cast their votes.
The counting of votes will take place on November 6 as per the by-poll schedule.
