Most employers favor 4-day work week, reveals survey

Several companies across the world have proposed 4-day work weeks for employees, a report showed, with most employers in India strongly agreeing that this model will help reduce stress levels.

HR Solutions Genius Consultants said that over 60% of employers strongly agree that the new 4-day workweek model will be successful in elevating the overall morale of the organization along with job satisfaction and work-life balance, reducing stress and anxiety levels. will help reduce a report.

However, 27% of employers surveyed said they were not sure of its impact on organizations’ productivity.

The remaining 11% disagreed with the notion, arguing that the 4-day work model would neither improve nor yield any positive positive results, it said.

The report is based on an online survey conducted among 1,113 employers and employees between February 1 and March 7 across sectors including banking and finance, construction and engineering, education, FMCG, hospitality, human resource solutions, IT, ITeS and BPO, logistics, manufacturing Is. , media, oil and gas.

The survey found that 100% of employees were in favor of the 4-day workweek model.

The firm said that over 66% of respondents strongly believed that a 4-day week would help them improve their productivity levels.

The survey also found that the most preferred third day for employers was Friday (52%), followed by Monday (18%), Wednesday (18%) and Thursday (11%).
