After Amul, Parag, Mother Dairy is now going to increase milk prices by Rs 2 per liter in Delhi-NCR from Sunday, the company said today. Mother Dairy’s milk will also be costlier in Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
The development comes days after Amul announced annual price hike across all milk varieties from March 1 and dairy firm Parag Milk Foods Ltd. also hiked the price of Govardhan brand of cow’s milk by Rs 2 per liter from March 1.
Mother Dairy Milk is sold in over 100 cities in India, and the company intends to increase the prices in other regions in the coming days.
“In view of rising procurement prices (amount paid to farmers), cost of fuel and cost of packaging material, Mother Dairy is compelled to increase the prices of its liquid milk by Rs 2 per liter in Delhi NCR with effect from March 6, 2022. Is.” the company said on Saturday.
From now on, the price of full cream milk will be Rs 59 per liter from Sunday, which was Rs 57 per liter on Saturday. The price of toned milk will increase to Rs 49, while that of double toned milk will increase to Rs 43 per litre. The price of cow’s milk has been increased from Rs 49 per liter to Rs 51 per litre. The price of bulk vending milk (token milk) has been increased from Rs 44 per liter to Rs 46.
“The increase in agricultural prices is only partially passed on to consumers, with an effective revision of only four per cent, which is less than the observed increase in agricultural prices and overall food inflation, thereby securing the interests of both stakeholders. going,” the company explained.
Mother Dairy said, “As a responsible organization, Mother Dairy has continuously worked towards providing remunerative prices to the milk producers, thereby ensuring sustainability of the dairy and availability of quality milk.”
Mother Dairy had last revised the prices of its liquid milk on July 11, 2021.
