Gurugram: Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mulayam Singh Yadav admitted to the ‘Critical Care Unit’ Medanta Hospital The hospital said on Monday that it was being treated by a “comprehensive team of experts”.
The announcement from the hospital came a day after the Samajwadi Party said on Sunday that its 82-year-old vice-chancellor was ill.
Sources said that Mulayam Singh Yadav is undergoing treatment at the hospital since August 22. He was also admitted to the hospital in July.
“Mr Mulayam Singh Currently admitted in the Critical Care Unit of Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon and is being treated by an extensive team of specialists,” the hospital said in a statement.
his son Akhilesh YadavDaughter-in-law Dimple Yadav and brother Shivpal Singh Yadav had reached the hospital on Sunday. Some party workers also reached the hospital premises to inquire about his condition, sources said, adding that he has been advised not to visit the health facility.
The SP said, “Respected Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) is admitted in the ICU. His condition is stable. It is a humble request to all of you not to come to the hospital. Information about his health will be given from time to time.” Wrote on his official Twitter handle on Sunday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also spoke to Akhilesh Yadav and inquired about his father’s health.
Sources said that PM Modi assured Akhilesh Yadav that he would provide all possible help and assistance in the treatment of the SP chief.
