New Delhi: Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport has launched a renovated general aviation terminal facility for private jets. The terminal will offer a curated menu of global cuisine served via expansive lounges and super-food light bites, bars, buffets with butler service, and according to the a la carte menu. Guests will be able to reserve meeting and conference room facilities in advance.
The terminal has been constructed to support the movement and processing of passengers flying from the airport via chartered flights. It provides processing areas with Customs and Immigration and has immediate access to private jet aircraft from the terminal.
It also has access control systems, Wi-Fi enabled services, integrated IT systems, and passengers can also make use of dedicated porter service and full check-in with minimal waiting period.
It is fully accessible for passengers with special needs and those with reduced mobility.
The terminal can handle over 50 passengers every hour.
Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) is managed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, the flagship company of the Adani Group. MIAL is a public-private partnership (PPP) venture between AAHL, which holds a majority stake of 74%, and the Airports Authority of India, holding the remaining 26%.
Adani Group-AAI, which operated the Mumbai airport on October 10, said it had switched to green energy sources, meeting 95 per cent of its requirement from hydro and wind, while the remaining 5 per cent from solar power. goes.
Between May and July, the facility saw a 98% increase in natural energy purchases compared with 57% green consumption in April. In August, Mumbai airport finally achieved 100% utilization of renewable sources of energy, it said in a statement.
