cell, which is the bodyguard of Kiran Gosavik, another witness who is currently absconding, further said that he heard Gosavi talking about demanding Rs 25 crore from Sam D’Souza.
“… fix Rs 18 crore as we have to pay Rs 8 crore to Sameer Wankhede (NCB chief probing Aryan Khan case),” the SAIL affidavit said.
Soon after, NCB’s Mumbai DDG Mutha Ashok Jain issued a statement denying the allegations. It said, “An affidavit has come to my notice of a witness, Shri Prabhakar Cell, in which he has given details about his activities and activities as on 2nd October, 2021, the day the offense was registered.”
“Since he is a witness in the case and as the matter is before the court, he needs to present his prayer in the court instead of social media, if he has anything to say. Also, there are some vigilance charges against some. Affidavits in person who are based on listening to Shri Prabhakar,” it said.
“Our Regional Director, Mumbai Unit, Sameer Wankhede has categorically denied these allegations. Since some of the contents of the affidavit pertain to vigilance matters, I am forwarding this affidavit to the Director General, NCB for further necessary action from him. In its affidavit, SAIL further alleged that they were asked to sign blank papers by the NCB after the raid on the cruise ship on October 2. “… Sameer Wankhede instructed his staff to take my signature and name. A Salekar from NCB told me to sign 10 blank papers.”
About 20 people, including Aryan, son of Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan, have been arrested in this case.
SAIL said he was instructed by Gosavi to visit the NCB office on October 2. “I asked driver Vijay Suryavanshi where Gosavi is. He told me that Gosavi is in the NCB office and meeting with an NCB official. At around 10.30, I was taken by Gosavi to the boarding area (where the cruise ship docked) ) and I saw Aryan Khan in a cabin in the cruise boarding area. I also saw a girl Munmum Dhamecha and a few others. With NCB officials,” SAIL said.
Gosavi is absconding after NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik questioned him as a witness. He was wanted in Mumbai and Pune cases. Pune Police has issued a lookout notice against him in a cheating case.
Officials told TOI that SAIL was making these claims at the behest of Nawab Malik. He has been making allegations against his raids on Wankhede and cruise liners. Malik had alleged that the two witnesses were not independent and were BJP workers. The third witness is a friend of Wankhede, he said.
