Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday said his computer and mobile phone and some files were confiscated by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials after nearly 14 hours of raids at his residence in the national capital. Alleged irregularities in the implementation of Excise Policy 2021-22.
Talking to the media, the AAP leader said that he did not do any wrong and was not afraid of the probe agency and its raids.
“The CBI team came this morning. They searched my house and confiscated my computer and phone. My family supported him and will continue to support him in future as well. We have not done any corruption or wrong. we are not afraid. We know that CBI is being misused.
“Efforts are being made to stop the good works of Delhi government. We haven’t done anything wrong. They (CBI) have not called me (for further questioning). CBI has taken my computer, phone and some files.
He alleged that the BJP-led Center was misusing the CBI to stop the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led government from “doing good work”.

Sisodia also said that the CBI officers behaved well during the raids.
Earlier in the day, the CBI had started raids at Sisodia’s house and 30 other places in connection with the case. AAP condemned the raid and Kejriwal claimed that the agency has been called “from above” to harass its leaders. The BJP asked the Delhi government to come clean on its excise policy.
The raids at the AAP leader’s house, the residence of IAS officer and former Excise Commissioner Arva Gopi Krishna and 29 other places came after the CBI registered an FIR for alleged corruption and bribery and enforcement of the Delhi Excise Policy last November. officials said. The CBI, which registered an FIR in a special Delhi court on Wednesday, began searches at 8 am in seven states, including the residence of Sisodia, who immediately tweeted about the officers’ arrival and “welcomed” the move.
At least two payments worth crores of rupees have been made to alleged ‘close associates’ under the CBI probe Sisodia by Sameer Mahendru, owner of Indospirits, who was one of the liquor traders actively involved in irregularities in the formulation and implementation of the Excise Policy. The FIR has accused Amit Arora, director of Buddy Retail Pvt Ltd, a close associate of Sisodia. Ltd. in Gurugram, Dinesh Arora and Arjun Pandey were actively involved in “managing and diverting undue pecuniary benefits collected from liquor licensees” for accused public servants.
