“My focus is definitely on next year’s World Cup and for that I want to play as many matches for India and do well there,” he said.

“There will also be an IPL in between, so I will try to do well there and also play domestic ODIs and T20Is,” Dhawan said.

Dhawan played an unbeaten innings of 31 runs as India chased down the target of 111 runs to beat England by 10 wickets in just 18.2 overs.

The southpaw has 6315 runs in 149 ODIs, including 17 centuries and 35 half-centuries.
