Nagpur:
Four persons allegedly duped a Nagpur resident of Rs 21 lakh by offering him safe admission in his daughter’s medical college. The police gave this information on Saturday.
An official of Ajni police station said that the accused are in Pune and no arrest has been made so far.
He told the police that Rajesh Lanjewar, 51, had received a message three months ago, offering the facility of MBBS admission.
When he approached the accused, they asked him to pay Rs 21 lakh for a seat in a medical college for his daughter in Nashik or Jalgaon.
Later, the accused told him that they could not secure the entry, the complaint said.
The police have registered a case of cheating under IPC section 420 and investigation is on, the official said.
