Naidu claims at massive anti-Jagan Andhra, Rayalaseema rally; Called Chief Minister ‘Tughlaq’

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said an “anti-jagan wave” was brewing in the state over the three years of “anarchic policies” of the government.

Launching his three-day Rayalaseema ‘Baddu Badu’ campaign in Cuddapah district, Naidu described the “overwhelming response” to his visits as a sign of growing resentment against the YSRCP government. He alleged that Jagan Reddy ruined the future of the youth and put their lives in darkness.

Locals turned up in large numbers to welcome Naidu at Kazipet in Maydukur assembly constituency. A huge queue of cars, bikes and motorcycles accompanied him during his rally.

Naidu accused the CM of destroying the state with uncontrolled looting. “A bottle of liquor worth Rs 60 is being sold for Rs. 200. Jagan Reddy’s own manufacturing and retailing was selling his own J-brand,” he claimed

Chandrababu Naidu termed it as a “shame” that people from border districts were going to Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Odisha to buy liquor and fuel.

The TDP chief said that the “mad Tughlaq Jagan” was also taxing the traders’ boards. “Waste tax was being collected from shops, tomatoes costing Rs. 100 per kg, the highest petrol, diesel and gas prices in the country were seen in AP alone. Jagan Reddy has no knowledge of ruling the people,” he said.

Condemning the policies of the YSRCP government, Naidu recalled how they had given unemployment allowance and created jobs in the private sector. “My struggle is only for your future. I’m 72 now but I can function like I’m 27. I am more active than you. I will use all the rest of the time for you, except sleep, ”he vowed.

Naidu also attacked the state government for the crime situation, citing the “YS Viveka murder case”. Ganja and drug gangs are destroying the whole society. Land grabbers, encroachers and anti-national elements are threatening all sections,” he said.
