National cyber exercise underway to train government officials on cyber threats

New Delhi National Security Council Secretariat is conducting National Cyber ​​Security Incident Response Exercise (NCX India) for government officials and key sector organizations to strengthen India’s cyber posture.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval inaugurated national cyber security Incident response exercise on Monday.

The exercise will continue till April 29.

More than 140 officers will be trained through training sessions. live fire and strategic exercises, the statement from the National Security Council Secretariat said.

Participants will be trained on various key cyber security areas such as intrusion detection techniques, Malware Information Sharing Platform (MISP), vulnerability management and penetration testing. network protocols and data flowDigital forensics, among others.

The exercise comes in the backdrop of recent incidents of power grid hacking in Ladakh and several incidents in which Twitter handles of ministries have been hacked.

The Center had recently said that in recent months, there had been some unsuccessful attempts to hack the network of dispatch centers responsible for real-time operations for grid control and power dispatch.

Last month, the Twitter handle of the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation (MOSPI) was briefly hacked on Thursday after it featured a display picture of Tesla chief Elon Musk.
