Vice Admiral AK Chawla, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command on Tuesday inaugurated a state-of-the-art facility, the Naval Communication Network Satellite Data Center, at INS Dweereakshak at Kavaratti.
Speaking on the occasion, the Admiral said that the satellite data center will give a tremendous boost to the communication throughput of the Indian Navy.
He said that this is another milestone in the direction of seamless network centric operations of the Armed Forces.
DIG D Dinkar, District Commander, Indian Coast Guard, Lakshadweep; A. Anbarasu, Advisor to the Lakshadweep Administrator; Commander Praveen, Commanding Officer, INS Dweereakshak; s. Askar Ali, District Collector, Lakshadweep; and Agena Cleitas, Assistant Collector, Lakshadweep, were present.
